The contest project for a passage between the Alvar Aalto Museum and the Museum of Central Finland

The designed passage connects the Museum of Alvar Aalto, the famous Finnish architect and designer of the mid-20th century, and the Museum of Central Finland in Helsinki. You can go to the passage by visiting one of the expositions, that’s why it is designed not only as a trading area, but also as a relaxation area, where you can rest and make up your mind before seeing the next exhibition. For convenience, the passage is divided into two levels. The lower level is intended for souvenirs sale, book shelves and a space for rest and reading. This part of the passage stretches along the glazed front facade and it is flooded with daylight. In another part of the passage they sell Alvar Aalto style furniture, lamps and accessories.
